Getting started: your first program
What to expect in your first hour on Paldar, from creating a program to sending the first invitation, and what you can leave for later.

Paldar is pre-launch, so this guide describes the product as it stands today. Things will move, and this page will move with them.
Before you start
You need three things: a name for the program, the two to four capabilities you want it to move, and a rough sense of when it starts. You do not need participants yet, and you do not need every session planned. A program can be a skeleton for a while.
Create the program
From the home screen, choose New program. Give it a name and a start date, then pick the capabilities it targets from the catalogue. You can add your own capability if none fits. The program keeps these as its purpose, and every survey and lesson you add later points back to them.
Add the first few rows
The program designer is a table. Each row is something that happens: a workshop, a coaching session, a survey or 360, a lesson, a reminder. Add a row, choose its type, give it a date or an offset from the start, and a duration.
A sensible first pass is a baseline survey, one workshop, and a follow-up survey. Everything else can come later. The totals row at the bottom keeps a running count of time, which becomes useful when you build a quote.
Choose your measurement
Open the survey row and pick a survey from your library, or build one. Each question maps to a capability. If you want other people's view of a participant, choose a 360 instead and set which rater types you want. Both feed the same results view when responses come in.
Invite participants
Go to the Participants tab and add people by name and email, one at a time or from a list. Each person gets an invitation with their own link. You control when invitations go out, so you can add people early and send later.
Once someone accepts, they see a simple learner view: what is coming up, what to read, and a place to talk to the AI coach if you have turned it on for the program.
Turn the AI coach on, or leave it off
The coach is off by default. When you turn it on, it works from your program's material and the boundaries described in the help article on how Chief and Coach make decisions. You can turn it off again at any time, for one participant or for everyone.
What to leave for later
Quotes and invoicing, scheduling integrations, the content library, and publishing to the Atlas are all there when you need them. None of them are needed to run your first program. Get one program to its first survey, look at the results, and build from there.
